Neonhunt #07 — A story at your pace

Saving, rereading, rewinding, and adjustable presentation make room for your own way of playing.

When you’re absorbed in a story, the controls should stay out of your way. We’ve been looking at how you can read, take breaks, and return later.

Read, pause, come back

Alongside automatic saving when you change locations, there are manual save slots and a quick save. A conversation history lets you reread what was said. Previously read text can be skipped, and conversations can advance automatically if you prefer.

You can also rewind your last choice while you remain in the same room. If an answer meant something different from what you expected, or you want to try another response, you don’t need to start all over.

Your preferences

Text speed and volume are adjustable. A content filter offers a more discreet presentation of adult scenes; Neonhunt remains an 18+ game.

German and English are available. Alongside mouse and keyboard, controller support is in place, with further hands-on checking still ahead.

A gallery lets you revisit unlocked content. Achievements also mark particular moments in your journey, giving you ways to look back on your discoveries after a playthrough.

The journal also records your decisions. An overview of the scenes and endings you’ve experienced helps you follow your own path and discover possibilities for another playthrough.
